Abstract

1. A motor-pump unit for a device assisting the steering of a motor vehicle, said unit comprising a hydraulic pump and a driving DC motor assembled in such manner as to constitute a unit, in which the assembly between the motor (2) and the pump (3) is achieved by means of a single assembling element (4) forming at the same time one of the end walls of the electric motor (2), a throughway passage (15) for the transmission (10) of the movement of rotation between the motor and pump, and the housing (14) of a safety valve (31), this motor-pump unit being characterised in that the assembling element has a recess for a sealing element (17) providing the seal between the cavity of the pump (3) and the electric motor (2), and a single machined surface (22) located adjacent to the pump, in which surface there is formed a peripheral groove for a sealing element providing the seal with the housing of the pump (10) and there being provided inside the perimeter defined by the groove (23) two orifices (26, 27) respectively communicating, on one hand, directly with the suction and delivery chambers of said pump (10) and, on the other hand, with the upstream and downstream sides of said safety valve (31).

Groupe moto-pompe pour dispositif d'assistance de direction d'un véhicule automobile, ce groupe étant composé d'une pompe hydraulique et d'un moteur électrique d'entraînement à courant continu assemblés de façon à former une unité, dans lequel l'assemblage entre moteur (2) et pompe (3) est réalisé à l'aide d'une pièce d'assemblage unique (4) formant à la fois l'un des flasques du moteur électrique (2), une traversée (15) pour la transmission (10) du mouvement de rotation entre moteur et pompe, et le carter (14) d'un clapet de sécurité (31), ce groupe moto-pompe étant caractérisé en ce que la pièce d'assemblage présente un logement (15) pour un joint (17) assurant l'étanchéité entre la cavité de la pompe (3) et le moteur électrique (2), ainsi qu'une unique surface usinée (22) située du côté de la pompe, surface dans laquelle est pratiquée une rainure périphérique pour un joint formant étanchéité avec le carter de la pompe (10) et en ce qu'à l'intérieur du périmètre défini par la rainure (23) sont situés deux orifices (26,27) communiquant respectivement d'une part directement avec les chambres d'aspiration et de refoulement de ladite pompe (10) et d'autre part avec les côtés amont et aval dudit clapet de sécurité (31).1.
