Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a bulk container with a lid, preferably for use as a disposable transport container for poison and / or hospital waste.
Receptacles of various designs and made from a wide variety of materials are known as disposable transport containers. For example, it is known to store washing powder or the like in cardboard cylinders. Such cardboard cylinders are environmentally friendly but expensive to manufacture and extremely sensitive to moisture and therefore unsuitable for liquids or for storage in rooms that are not completely dry.
It is therefore common to use sprayed plastic buckets to hold liquids, but these are relatively expensive to manufacture. It is also known to use garbage bags made of paper or plastic. Such garbage bags are space-saving when unused and inexpensive to manufacture. However, they are extremely sensitive to sharp-edged garbage.
For hazardous waste, e.g. B. for medical waste, as it is obtained in hospitals, doctors or in laboratories, it is known from DE-A-22 33 435 to separate this waste, eg. B. in garbage bags or inside waterproof laminated cardboard cylinders, then to seal them and to incinerate them. The known containers have the disadvantage that they do not ensure the escape of liquid, such as. B. can prevent blood or the like. On the other hand, there is also the risk that pointed or sharp objects in the garbage, such as disposable syringes or the like, pierce the walls, so that there is a risk of injury to the handling personnel.
For this reason, the usual large-volume, sprayed plastic buckets are used in hospitals, which, as already mentioned, are comparatively expensive, on the other hand, emptying such buckets for multiple use and subsequent cleaning and disinfection is associated with even more significant costs.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a reliable packaging and transport container that is space-saving, environmentally friendly, cheap, easy to transport, airtight and secure both against liquids and against sharp-edged garbage.
This object of the invention is achieved in the bulk container of the type described in the introduction in that the outer edge of the handling and stiffening edge corresponds to the outer dimensions of the pre-cut starting film for a vacuum-drawing process, and the material thickness ratio between the stiffening edge and the drawn part is at least 4. Is 5: 1.
The design of such a container made of vacuum-drawn film material ensures, on the one hand, that the container is comparatively economical to manufacture and can therefore be used as a disposable article, and on the other hand, such film materials ensure liquid tightness and a correspondingly high rigidity with suitable shaping, so that the containers are both empty and are also stackable when filled.
Basically, deep-drawn containers are known, for example for holding certain foods, such as curd cheese, yoghurt or the like, which are intended for immediate consumption. However, the known structure of the known containers is not suitable for the safe transportation of large amounts of airtight waste. The bulk containers according to the invention are preferably designed for receiving volumes over 25 liters.
According to a further feature of the invention it is provided that for further reinforcement stiffening ribs are drawn into the vessel walls and the container bottom is curved inwards.
It has proven to be expedient if the container is essentially designed as a square box with container walls that run conically from the edge to the bottom region. This shape has the advantage that the conical wall surfaces, as is known for such vacuum-drawn small containers, provide high stackability when empty, so that very little space is required for storage, and on the other hand the filled containers can be rectangular Form on the loading surface of a transport vehicle cheaper and denser. The good stackability of the empty containers is further increased by beads drawn into the vessel walls, which prevent the empty containers stacked one inside the other from being sucked up.
The stackability of the filled containers is ensured in particular by the shape of the lid according to the invention. The inward bevels of the lid interact positively with the bevels of the container and thereby avoid that transverse forces act on the adhesive film arranged between the container and the lid. The attached lid thus provides a safe footprint for the subsequent container. Due to the stacking bead arranged in the lid and pointing upwards, the stacked containers are securely fixed in their position. This fixation is also supported by the upward curvature of the lid which engages from below in the curvature of the bottom of the subsequent container.
According to a further feature of the invention, this stacked bead is designed as a circumferential, defined tear fastener. This configuration is This is particularly advantageous when the container lid is attached to the receptacle in a non-detachable manner using a film welding machine.
This version is also particularly suitable for powder goods such as washing powder and the like. However, the lid can also be provided with a snap lock. In this case, the edge of the lid has projections or indentations which grip elastically over the stiffening edge of the receptacle.
In a special embodiment, the invention provides that the container and lid are made in one piece from the vacuum-drawn material. In this case, a defined crease edge is provided between the stiffening edge of the receptacle and the lid edge. The price of such containers is decisive for the market. The sum of the cost savings from reduced manual and machine times as well as material weight and waste avoidance result in optimal values with the invention. Further advantages, details and features of the invention result from the following description and from the drawings.

The bulk container is generally designated 1. It consists of a
The
Although the self-rigid container described is preferably for hazardous waste, such as. B. in hospitals or the like. Is designed, it is nevertheless ideal as a disposable transport container.
So z. B. the
Although the inherently rigid container according to the invention is preferably designed in two parts, i.
