Abstract

An electrically conductive stop strip 17 on a door 15 is connected by a line 22 to one pole on an alarm apparatus (not shown). A frame part 18 on a frame, which is inserted in an opening in a wall 16, is likewise electrically conductive and is connected by a line 23 to the other pole of the alarm apparatus. The stop strip 17 and the frame part 18 are provided with an insulating and moisture-tight coating 19 and, respectively, 20, for example made of nylon, and are in this way electrically insulated from one another. When an attempt at breaking in is made, for example by introducing a tool at the point indicated by the arrow 21, this will inevitably result in the tool penetrating the coatings and making an electric connection between the stop strip 17 and the frame part 18, as a result of which the alarm is triggered. The fact that the coating 19 and 20 is moisture-proof means that the risk of false alarms owing to moisture is reduced. <IMAGE>
