Abstract
Der er tilvejebragt en fremgangsmåde til vurdering af kvaliteten af data for positionering under overfladen og brøndboringspositioneringsdata, omfattende: at tilvejebringe en model for positionering under overfladen for et område af jorden, indbefattende data for positionering under overfladen, hvor hvert punkt i modellen for positionering under overfladen har en kvantificeret positionsmæssig usikkerhed, der er angivet ved hjælp af en sandsynlighedsfordeling; at tilvejebringe en brøndboringspositioneringsmodel, der indbefatter de brøndboringspositioneringsdata, der blev opnået ud fra valgte prøvetagningspunkter (well-picks) fra brønde i området, hvor hvert valgt prøvetagningspunkt svarer til et geologisk træk, der er bestemt ved hjælp af en måling, som er taget i en brønd, hvor hvert punkt i brøndboringspositioneringsmodellen har en kvantificeret positionsmæssig usikkerhed, der er angivet ved hjælp af en sandsynlighedsfordeling; at identificere fælles punkter, hvoraf hvert omfatter et punkt i modellen for positionering under overfladen, der svarer til et valgt prøvetagningspunkt af brøndboringspositioneringsdataene; at udlede en lokal testværdi for hvert fælles punkt, der repræsenterer en positionsmæssig usikkerhed: at vælge nogle, men ikke alle de fælles punkter og udlede en testværdi fra de valgte fælles punkters lokale testværdier; at tilvejebringe en positionsmæssig fejltestgrænse for de valgte fælles punkter; og at sammenligne testværdien med testgrænsen for at tilvejebringe en vurdering af datakvalitet.
