Abstract

The hearing aid with a microphone switching system comprises a power supply (4), a microphone for picking up ambient sound signals (1), a signal processing system (6,7) and a receiver (2) for delivery of an audio sound signal to a user. Also provided are devices for connecting or disconnecting the power supply to the microphone.

Description

CLAIMS 1. Hearing aid with microphone switching system where the hearing aid comprises - a power supply, a microphone for picking up ambient sound signals, a signal processing system, a receiver for delivering an audio sound signal to the ear of the user whereby means are provided for connecting or disconnecting the power supply to the microphone. 2. Hearing aid as claimed in claim 1 , whereby a first microphone or microphone group is provided along with one or two further microphone or microphone groups, and where means are provided for switching the power supply between the different microphones or microphone groups. 3. Hearing aid as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2, whereby the hearing aid further comprises a telecoil or other wireless input channel, and where this channel is selectable as input to the signal processor either alone by not connecting the power supply to the microphone or microphones, or is selectable in combination with the signal from the microphone or microphones by connecting the power supply to the microphone or microphones. 4. Hearing aid as claimed in one or more of the above claims, whereby the means for connecting the power supply to the microphone or groups of microphones comprises manually activated means. 5. Hearing aid as claimed in one or more of the claims 1- 3, whereby the means for connecting the power supply to the microphone or groups of microphone comprises electrically activated means.CLAIMS 1. Hearing aid with microphone switching system where the hearing aid comprises - a power supply, a microphone for picking up ambient sound signals, a signal processing system, a receiver for delivering an audio sound signal to the ear of the user whereby means are provided for connecting or disconnecting the power supply to the microphone. 2. Hearing aid as claimed in claim 1, wherein a first microphone or microphone group is provided along with one or two further microphone or microphone groups, and where means are provided for switching the power supply between the different microphones or microphone groups. 3. Hearing aid as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the hearing aid further comprises a telecoil or other wireless input channel, and wherein this channel is selectable as input to the signal processor either alone by not connecting the power supply to the microphone. or microphones, or is selectable in combination with the signal from the microphone or microphones by connecting the power supply to the microphone or microphones. 4. Hearing aid as claimed in one or more of the above claims, wherein the means for connecting the power supply to the microphone or groups of microphones comprises manually activated means. 5. Hearing aid as claimed in one or more of claims 1- 3, wherein the means for connecting the power supply to the microphone or groups of microphone comprises electrically activated means.
