Denne frembringelse vedrører nye byggematerialer fremstillet af nedknust byggeaffald (granulat).
Den gælder mursten og mørtel.
Det nedknuste affald blandes med bindemiddel til mørtel.
Det nedknuste affald støbes i forme til mursten, hvorefter de lufttørres.
I det nedknuste granulat, som bla. indeholder tegl, beton og mørtelrester, udnyttes energien i affaldet, som betyder at den tilførte energimængde, som er nødvendig for at binde granulatet sammen og opnå styrke, kan reduceres til et minimum.
Dvs. ingen eller meget lille forbrug af direkte naturressourcer.
