Opfindelsen angår et flerlags emballagemateriale, især til fleksible emballager, og som set fra ydersiden mod indersiden omfatter: en ydre, i alt væsentligt transparent folie, som er spejlvendt trykt på dens indadven-dende overflade, 5 - et med den ydre folies trykte overflade forbundet mellemlag, som er påført den ydre folies indre trykte overflade i flydende form, et med mellemlagets inderside forbundet metalliseringslag, og et indre svejsemedielag.
For opnåelse af gode barriereegenskaber over for oxygen indgår der i emballagemateria-10 ler til fødevarer, hvis kvalitet nedsættes ved oxidation, eksempelvis kaffe, mælkeprodukter m.v., et eller flere barrierelag, der kan være af organisk og/eller uorganisk natur.
Det organiske barrierelag kan være en folie, som er lamineret til de øvrige lag i laminatet, eller være påført et af de øvrige lag i laminatet i form af en dispersion eller opløsning eller ved ekstrusionscoatning. Det uorganiske barrierelag, der typisk er et metallag 15 kan ligeledes foreligge i form af en folie, eller det kan være påført et af de øvrige lag i laminatet ved f.eks. pådampning, dvs. metallisering. Med henblik på at nedsætte produktionsomkostningerne for laminatet foretrækkes det at danne det organiske lag ud fra en dispersion eller opløsning eller ved ekstrusioncoatning samt at danne det uorganiske lag ved pådampning.
20 Ved emballager med påtrykt information eller illustration foretages trykningen ofte på indersiden af en transparent ydre folie for at beskytte trykket mod beskadigelse og for at opnå et synsmæssigt mere tiltalende tryk. Anbringes det uorganiske barrierelag i form af en metallisering, direkte på den trykte overflade, vil dette lag misfarve trykket. Til forhindring af misfarvningen er det kendt at påført den trykte overflade en beskyttende 2 DK 172837 B1 lak. for eksempel en polyurethanlak inden metalliseringen. Herved undgås en misfarvning af trykket ved mindre metalliseringstykkelser, men ved større metalliseringstykkelser sker der stadig en uønsket misfarvning af trykket. Nævnte misfarvning opstår typisk ved metalliseringstykkelser større end ca. 2 Ohm/kvadrat (ca. 200 Ångstrøm), svarende 5 til oxygenbarriereegenskaber på ca. 3 cm3/m2/24h. Når der ønskes en større oxygenbarriere uden misfarvning af trykket, lægges metalliseringen på en separat folie, som dernæst lamineres til den trykte transparente folie, hvilket bevirker en forøgelse af produktionsomkostningerne for emballagematerialet.
Fra EP-A-0 096 581. US-A-3.949.114, WO92/01558. W094/23941 og EP-B1-0 281 10 893 kendes laminater, hvori der både indgår et organisk barrierelag (typisk i form af en EVOH-film) og et uorganisk barrierelag (typisk i form af en metallisering) for herved at opnå forbedrede oxygenbarriereegenskaber.
Yderligere er det fra US-A-5.153.074 kendt, at der opnås forbedrede 02-barriereegen-skaber ved at belægge en polymerfolie med EVOH, f.eks. ved ekstrusionscoatning, og 15 derefter metallisere EVOH-belægningen.
Endelig er det lira US-A-4.457.977 og EP-A2-0.340.910 kendt, at der opnås forbedret Oj-barriere ved at belægge en polymerfolie med en organisk polymer i form af en dispersion eller en opløsning og derefter påføre nævnte belægning en metallisering.
Formålet med opfindelsen er at anvise et flerlags emballagemateriale af den indlednings-20 vis nævnte art, som giver forbedrede gasbarriereegenskaber uden misfarvning af trykket.
Til opnåelse af dette formål er emballagematerialet ifølge opfindelsen ejendommeligt ved, at mellemlaget omfatter et organisk baseret gasbarrierelag. Det har overraskende vist sig, at et organisk baseret gasbarrierelag ud over at forbedre emballagematerialets barriereegenskaber også er i stand til at forhindre, at metalliseringslaget misfarver tryk-25 ket. I praksis er der således uden misfarvning af trykket opnået meget fine barriereegen- ! DK 172837 Bt 3 skaber, f.eks. en 02-permeabilitet i 0,1 cm3/m2/24h ved forholdsvis små metalliserings-tykkelser på ca. 3 Ohm/kvadrat (ca. 100 Ångstrøm). Yderligere har det overraskende vist sig, at der ved pålægning af det uorganiske barrierelag direkte på det organiske barrierelag også opnås gode 02-barriereegenskaber efter flexpåvirlcning (Gelbo flexnin-5 ger).
Mellemlaget kan omfatte et mellem den ydre folies trykte overflade og gasbarrieretaget beliggende primerlag til at forøge gasbarrierelagets vedhæftning til den ydre folies trykte overflade.
Desuden kan selve det organisk baserede gasbarrierelag have en 02-permeabilitet mindre 10 end 10 cm3/m2/24h, fortrinsvis mindre end 5 cm3/m2/24h.
Endvidere kan det organisk baserede barrierelag omfatte en dispersion eller opløsning indeholdende mindst ét af materialerne ethylenvinylalkøhol (EVOH). polyviny(alkohol (PVOH) og polyvinylidenchlorid (PVDQ, fortrinsvis EVOH, og som fortrinsvis har en tykkelse på 0,5 til 3 μπι, især 0,7 til 1,8 μα». Udtrykt ved barriereegenskaberne fore-15 trækkes det, at selve det organisk baserede barrierelag har en 02-permeabilitet mindre end ca. 10 cm3/m2/24 h, især mindre end 5 cm3/m2/24 h. Barrierelaget kan pålægges ved hjælp af enhver kendt coatningsmetode, såsom valsecoatning, f.eks. glatvalsecoatning og gravurevalsecoatning, spraycoatning og dyppecoatning. I praksis er der opnået gode resultater ved glatvalsecoatning.
20 Fremdeles kan det organisk baserede barrierelag omfatte mindst et af materialerne EVOH, PVDC, fortrinsvis EVOH, påført ved ekstrusionscoatning eller co-ekstrusions-coatning, og som fortrinsvis har en tykkelse på 2 til 10 μιη, især 3 til 5 μιη.
Yderligere kan den ydre folie i det mindste være orienteret i maskinretningen og fortrinsvis være biaksialt orienteret.

Endvidere kan den ydre folie omfatte mindst ét materiale valgt blandt polyolefiner, polyamider, polyestere og polycarbonater.
Desuden kan metalliseringslaget være et pådampet aluminiumslag, som har en tykkelse på 50 til 1000 Ångstrøm, fortrinsvis 100 til 500 Ångstrøm. I praksis har det overrasken-5 de vist sig, at selv relativt små metalliseringstykkelser på ca. 100 Ångstrøm giver en 02-permeabilitet på mindre end 0,1 cm5/mJ/24h både før og efter flexpåvirkning.
Endelig kan svejsemedielaget omfatte en polyolefin, fortrinsvis polyethylen eller polypropylen eller copolymerer deraf.
Opfindelsen forklares nærmere nedenfor under henvisning til tegningen, hvis eneste figur 10 skematisk viser et snit gennem en udførelsesform for emballagematerialet ifølge opfindelsen.
Det viste emballagemateriale omfatter set fra ydersiden mod indersiden af en emballage en ydre, i alt væsentligt transparent folie 1, som kan være en enlagsfolie eller et laminat bestående af flere folier, og fortrinsvis omfatter en polyolefin, et polyamid eller en 15 polyester. Den ydre folie 1 er på dens indadvendende overflade spejlvendt trykt 2. På trykket 2 er der påført en primer 3, som sikrer god vedhæftning til et organisk baseret gasbarrierelag 4, der er påført primeren i form af en opløsning eller dispersion, som er tørret efter påføringen, eller ved ekstrusionscoatning. Det organisk baserede barrierelag 4 indeholder mindst ét af barrierematerialerne EVOH, PVOH og PVDC, fortrinsvis 20 EVOH. På gasbarrierelaget 4 er der pådampet et metalliseringslag 5, som fortrinsvis er et vakuump&dampet aluminiumslag. Et indre svejsemedielag 7 er ved hjælp af et klæbe-middellag 6 forbundet med det uorganiske barrierelag 5. Det indre svejsemedielag 7 er typisk en polyolefin, fortrinsvis polyethylen eller polypropylen eller copolymerer deraf.

Eksempel 1:
En 12 μπι tyk biaksialt orienteret polyester (PETP)-film 1 blev p& den indadvendende side trykt 2 ved brug af nitrocellulosebaserede trykfarver. Trykket 2 blev belagt med en polyurethanbaseret primer 3. Primeren 3 blev ved valsecoatning belagt med en EVOH-S belægning i form af en alkohol/vand-opløsning af EVOH-granulat. Der blev pålagt ca.
1,2 g/m2 (tørvægt) svarende til en tykkelse på ca. 1 μπι (tørret). EVOH-belægnmgen har i sig selv en 02-permeabilitet på ca. 3 cm3/m2/24h. EVOH-belægningen blev tørret i en tørrekanal ved en temperatur på mellem 100 og 130°C. Den tørrede EVOH-belægning blev metalliseret ved vakuumpådampning af aluminium. Metalliseringstykkelsen var 3 10 Ohm/kvadrat (ca. 100 Ångstrøm). En PE-film blev lamineret til metalliseringslaget S ved brug af en tokomponent polyurethan-lim 6.
Det fremstillede laminat viste ingen tegn på misfarvning af trykket.
Laminatet havde en 02-permeabilitet s 0,1 cm3/m2/24h.
En Gelboflexundersøgelse viste, at 02-barrieren forblev uforandret efter 20 Gelboflex-15 ninger foretaget ifølge MIL-B-131G, FED-STD-101, method no 2017.
Eksempel 2:
Et laminat blev fremstillet som i eksempel 1, idet dog PETP-filmen blev erstattet af en 30 μτη tyk, coekstruderet, orienteret polyprapylenfilm, og der blev benyttet polyvinylbu-tyral (PVB)-baserede trykfarver.
20 Der blev ikke konstateret nogen misfarvning af trykket.
Laminatet havde en 02-permeabilitet på s 0,1 cm3/m2/24h. Efter 20 Gelboflexninger havde laminatet en 02-permeabilitet på < 0,5 cmVm2/ 24h.

Eksempel 3:
Et laminat blev fremstillet som i eksempel 1, idet dog PETP-filmen blev erstattet af en 15 ftm tyk, orienteret polyamidfilm, og der blev benyttet poly vinylbutyral (PVB)-basere-de trykfarver.
5 Der blev ikke konstateret nogen misfarvning af trykket.
Laminat havde en 02-permeabilitet s 0,1 cm3/mJ/24h b&de før og efter 20 Gelboflexnin-ger.
Endelig er der blevet fremstillet laminater svarende til de i de ovennævnte tre eksempler anførte, men med metalliseringstykkelser på mellem 2 Ohm/kvadrat (ca. 200Ångstrøm), 10 1,5 Ohm/kvadrat (ca. 275 Ångstrøm) og 1,2 Ohm/kvadrat (ca. 350 Ångstrøm). Lamina terne havde 02-barrierer svarende til de ovenfor anførte.
Heller ikke ved nævnte forøgelse af metalliseringstykkelsen blev der konstateret nogen misfarvning af trykket.
Eksempel 4: 15 En 12 μτα tyk biaksialt orienteret polyester (PETP)-film 1 blev på den indadvendende side trykt 2 ved brug af nitrocellulosebaserede trykfarver. Trykket 2 blev belagt med en polyurethanbaseret primer 3. Primeren 3 blev belagt med en PVOH-belægning i form af en vandig PVOH-opløsning. Der blev pålagt ca. 1,4 g/m1 (tærvægt) svarende til en tykkelse på ca. 1,2 μΐη (tørret). PVOH-belægningen blev tørret og den tørrede PVOH-20 belægning blev metalliseret ved vakuumpådampningaf aluminium. Metalliseringstykkelsen var 3 Ohm/kvadrat (ca. 100 Ångstrøm). En PE-film blev lamineret til metalliseringslaget 5 ved brug af en tokomponent polyurethan-lim 6.

Det fremstillede laminat viste ingen tegn på misfarvning af trykket.
Laminatet havde en ^-permeabilitet i 0,1 cm3/m224h både før og efter 20 Gelboflexnin-ger.
Ved et laminat svarende til det ovenfor beskrevne, men med en metalliseringstykkelse 5 på 1,5 Ohm/kvadrat (ca. 275 Ångstrøm) blev der heller ikke konstateret nogen misfarvning af trykket.
Barriereegenskabeme var som anført ovenfor både før og efter 20 Gelboflexninger.
Claims (10)
1. Flerlags emballagemateriale, især til fleksible emballager, og som set fra ydersiden mod indersiden omfatter: 5. en ydre, i alt væsentligt transparent folie (1), som er spejlvendt trykt (2) på dens indadvendende overflade, et med den ydre folies (1) trykte overflade forbundet mellemlag (3, 4), som er påført den ydre folies (1) indre trykte overflade i flydende form, et med mellemlagets (3, 4) inderside forbundet metalliseringslag (5), og 10. et indre svejsemedielag (7), kendetegnet ved, at mellemlaget (3, 4) omfatter et organisk baseret gasbarriere· lag (4).
2. Emballagemateriale ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved, at mellemlaget (3, 4) omfatter et mellem den ydre folies (1) trykte overflade og gasbarrierelaget (4) beliggende 15 primerlag (3).
3. Emballagemateriale ifølge krav 1 eller 2, kende-tegnet ved, at selve det organisk baserede gasbarrierelag (4) har en 02-permeabilitet mindre end 10 cmVmV24h. fortrinsvis mindre end 5 cm3/ml/24h.
4. Emballagemateriale ifølge et eller flere af de foregående krav, kendetegnet 20 ved, at det organisk baserede barrierelag (4) omfatter en dispersion eller opløsning inde- 9 DK 172837 B1 holdende mindst ét af materialerne EVOH, PVOH og PVDC, fortrinsvis EVOH, og som fortrinsvis har en tykkelse på 0,5 til 3 μτη, især 0,7 til 1,8 μιη.
5 PVDC, fortrinsvis EVOH, påført ved ekstrusionscoatning eller co-ekstnisionscoatning, og som fortrinsvis har en tykkelse på 2 til 10 μιη, især 3 til 5 μια.

8. Emballagemateriale ifølge et eller flere af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at metalliseringslaget (15) er et pådampet aluminiumslag.
9. Emballagemateriale ifølge krav 8, kendetegnet ved, at metalliseringslaget har en tykkelse på 50 til 1000 Ångstrøm, fortrinsvis 100 til 500 Ångstrøm.
10. Emballagemateriale ifølge et eller flere af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at svejsemedielaget (7) omfatter en polyolefin, fortrinsvis polyethylen eller polypropylen eller copolymerer deraf.
