Opfindelsen angår et startfoder for dyreunger, særligt for smågrise, men også for drøvtyggere og hjorte, som 5 tilsættes under de første uger af deres liv, typisk fra alderen en uge til fire uger.
Formålet med opfindelsen er at tilvejebringe et startfoder beregnet for dyreunger, særligt smågrise, ved hjælp 10 af hvilket foder, som kun indgives, mens dyrene er en til fire uger gamle, man stimulerer dyret til en tidlig foderindtagelse og derved fremmer dyrets egen produktion af i særdeleshed protein og stivelsesreducerende enzymer.
15 Ved hjælp af sin sammensætning, funktion og fysiske form er startfoderet særligt velegnet som bærestof for vitaminer, carbonhydrater, forskellige proteiner med sigte på forhøjelse af den immunologiske status, fedtstoffer, mineraler, mikronæringsstoffer, såsom jern, probiotika, så-20 som positivt virkende bakteria, og antibakterielle stoffer.
Start foderet, som ved hjælp af en ideel sammensætning og smag, uden på dette tidspunkt at forstyrre dyrenes ga-25 stro-intestinale funktioner, indtages af smågrisene på et tidligt stadium, hvorved indvirkningen på moderdyret kan nedsættes ved reducerede krav for mælkeproduktion, og moderdyret bedre kan opretholde sin kropsvægt og ernæringsmæssige og fysiologiske status.

Opfindelsens baggrund
Det er almindeligt kendt, at smågrise under deres tidlige vækst og afvænningsperiode i mange tilfælde lider af ka-35 tastrofale diarrétilstande. Disse tilstande forårsages mange gange af dyrets manglende evne til at optage næringsstoffer fra tarmen, hvorved ufordøjede næringsstof- DK 166987 B1 2 fer ender i tyktarmen, hvor de udgør et substrat for en uønsket tarmbakterieflora.
Den samlede dødelighed, herunder dødfødte smågrise inden 5 for svensk og international griseavl, er i dag helt oppe på 20-25%. Mange af disse smågrise er også før de dør genstand for intens pleje, da de allerede ved fødselen er undervægtige og f.eks. har jernmangel. Sådanne problemer forårsager en dårlig start på livet. Mangelen på jern, 10 som er forårsaget af grisens hurtige vækst og det lave indhold af jern i soens mælk, kan der delvis kompenseres for ved indsprøjtninger med jern, men dels er disse bekostelige, dels er virkningen ikke særlig varig. Der er således et stort behov for peroralt at tilsætte tilstræk-15 kelige mængder af jern til smågrisene på et tidligt stadium; problemet er at få smågrisene til at indtage dette jern i tilstrækkeligt store mængder uden at forstyrre dyrenes andre gastro-intestinale funktioner. Hertil kommer det problem, at undervægtige og anæmiske smågrise meget 20 ofte nægter at spise yderligere foder, hvorved indførelsen og indtagelsen af mere jernrige foderemner yderligere forsinkes. Endvidere påvirkes den sundhedsmæssige status af moderdyret ved forlænget diegivning.
25 Der er blevet foreslået forskellige yderligere foderemner med henblik på at øge velsmagen og på at øge indgivelsen af jern gennem disse. Således er foder baseret på havreflager ofte en velsmagende kilde, som smågrisene accepterer. Havreflager alene tilvejebringer imidlertid ikke ba-30 lanceret fodertilstand, og endvidere gør fytinindholdet f.eks. jernoptagelsen mere vanskelig. Yderligere foderemner baseret på kerner af kornsorter er således ud fra dette synspunkt uegnede som bærestoffer for jernpræparater.

Beskrivelse af opfindelsen
Man har nu overraskende fundet, at det er muligt at eliminere disse problemer ved hjælp af den foreliggende op-5 findelse, som er ejendommelig ved, at startfoderet har en sammensætning, som i almindelighed ligner modermælkens sammensætning, hvad angår forholdet mellem casein og valleproteiner, og at den tilstedeværende stivelse forklistres og i det væsentlige er fri for fibre og andre 10 mineral- og sporstofbindende carbonhydratkomplekser, samt at det indeholder organiske, forsurende forbindelser til opretholdelse af en lav pH-værdi i maven.

De organiske, forsurende forbindelser til opretholdelse af en relativt lav pH-værdi i maven indeholder citronsyre eller mælkesyre eller en anden organisk syre opnået fra Lactobacillus eller anden lignende syredannende bakterie, 20 som vokser på et substrat indeholdende bl.a. lactulose til fremme af overlevelsen af disse mælkesyrebakterier.
Startfoderet bør ikke indeholde større mængde saccharider af den type, som ikke kan optages i det øvre gastro-inte-25 stinalområde.
Endvidere bør foderet ikke indeholde over 0,3% Na.
For at garantere en fuldstændig resorption kan foderet, 30 dersom det skønnes at være nødvendigt, indeholde carbon- hydratnedbrydende enzymer, såsom cellulaser, amylaser, lactase, eller proteolytiske enzymer for at lette nedbrydningen af proteiner i tarmen.
35 Een del af foderet består af en særlig foderstof base, hvilken base er en fraktion af casein og valleproteiner, som er nedbrudt af Lactobacillus. Den herved foretagne DK 166987 B1 4 nedbrydning/forsuring foregår ved pH 5,8 i et tidsrum på normalt 4-10 timer ved en temperatur på 37-45 °C.
Opfindelsen vil i de efterfølgende eksempler blive be-5 skrevet mere detaljeret.
EKSEMPEL 1
Der blev først fremstillet en base bestående af: 10 40% valle 2% tørgær (proteiner, næringssalte, vitaminer) 5-8% natrium- og/eller kaliumcaseinat 50% fedtstof (talg, svinefedt, rapsolie, sojaolie 15 eller en blanding deraf) q.s. antioxidanter (til beskyttelse af tilstedeværende fedtstoffer) hvilken base, med undtagelse af fedtindholdet, først un-20 derkastes en fermentering i nærvær af Lactobacillus bulgaricus og Streptococcus thermophilus til en pH-værdi på 5,8 i et tidsrum på 6 timer ved en temperatur på 42 °C. Den syrnede casein-valledel blev spraytørret og de ovennævnte fedtstoffer tilsat. Fedtstoffet bindes herved 25 til casein-vallepulveret til dannelse af en overvejende tør base.
60% af ovenstående base 10% planteproteiner (fra kartoffel eller carbon-30 hydratfri soja) 10% animalsk protein 5-15% forklistret stivelse 1% hvedekim 1% citronsyre 35 1% lyseret gær 1% dextrose 3% præmix (vitaminer, mineraler, sporstoffer, pro- DK 166987 B1 5 biotika, lactulose og bærestof) blev tørblandet og formet til granula eller pellets med en størrelse på 2-5 mm og en længde på 3-10 mm.

Disse granula eller pellets administreres ad libitum på smågrisenes hvilested og har herved vist sig at blive godt accepteret, hvorved det har været muligt at flytte tidspunktet for indførelse og indtagelse af det ordinære 10 foder for smågrise en eller to uger frem. Resultatet har yderligere været en betydelig reduktion i antallet af diarrétilfælde. Der er endvidere observeret en positiv nedsættelse af pH-værdien i maven i en tidlig alder. En lav pH-værdi i maven er vigtig for at forhindre uhen-15 sigtsmæssige bakterier i at passere gennem maven og derved forårsage diarré.
Jernindholdet er foretrukket i form af jernsulfat, men også andre jernforbindelser, såsom EDTA-jern, kan an- 20 vendes.
EKSEMPEL 2
Et foder til unge kalve blev fremstillet i henhold til 25 følgende opskrift: 34,0% fedtstof (talg, svinefedt, rapsolie, sojaolie eller en blanding deraf) 2,0% stivelse 30 27,0% skummetmælkspulver 18,0% afsaltet vallepulver 11,5% Na-caseinat 6,0% kartoffelprotein 1,5% præmix af vitaminer og mineraler 35
Ingredienserne blev forsigtigt blandet og formet til pellets. Det endelige foder indeholder 32% protein, 35% DK 166987 B1 6 fedtstoffer, 20% lactose og 0% fibre.
Foderet skal ikke formes til pellets, hvis dyrene er meget unge, da foderet da kan administreres i form af en 5 vandig suspension med et tørstofindhold på 12%.
EKSEMPEL 3
Et foder til unge hjorte blev fremstillet i henhold til 10 følgende opskrift: 24,0% fedtstof (talg, svinefedt, rapsolie, sojaolie eller en blanding deraf) 12,5% skummetmælkspulver 15 20,5% æggeblommepulver 26,0% afsaltet valle 2,0% stivelse 14,0% Na-caseinat 1,0% præmix af vitaminer og mineraler 20
Ingredienserne blev forsigtigt blandet og formet til pellets. Foderet havde et indhold på 32% proteiner, 36% fedtstoffer, 15% lactose og 0% fibre.
25 Foderet til unge hjorte behøver ikke nødvendigvis at blive formet til pellets, men kan administreres i form af et pulver suspenderet i vand til et tørstofindhold på 20%.

Claims (5)
1. Startfoder til indgivelse til unge dyr, særligt små-5 grise, drøvtyggere og hjorte, under de første leveuger, hvilket foder indeholder stivelse, vitaminer og mineraler, hvor lactoseindholdet af foderet er tilpasset til lactoseindholdet i modermælken, kendetegnet ved, at det har en sammensætning, som ligner modermæl-10 kens, hvad angår forholdet mellem casein og valleproteiner, at det indeholder 18-26 vægt-% valle, 3-8,5 vægt-% casein, 30-36 vægt-% fedtstof, 6-10 vægt-% planteproteiner, 10-32 vægt-% animalske proteiner, 2-15 vægt-% forforklistret stivelse, hvorved stivelsen er overvejende 15 fri for fibre og andre jernbindende carbonhydratkomplek-ser, 1% organisk syre, 1 vægt-% lyseret gær, 1 vægt-% dextrose og 1,5-3 vægt-% vitaminer og mineraler.
2. Startfoder ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet 20 ved, at casein og valleproteiner er til stede i form af et produkt, som er blevet fermenteret af mælkesyredannende bakterier og spraytørret.
3. Startfoder ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet 25 ved, at produktet er tilsat fedtstof i et forhold på 1:1 (casein/valle:fedtstof).
4. Startfoder ifølge krav 2, kendetegnet ved, at casein/valleblandingen er fermenteret ved brug af
