Description

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Fahrtrichtungsanzeiger für Kraftwagen, Krafträder und Fahrräder. Die bisher bekannten Vorrichtungen zur Anzeige von Fahrtrichtungsänderungen eines Kraftfahrzeuges oder Fahrrades bestehen aus Richtungswinkern, die meistens seitlich an dem Fahrzeug angeordnet sind. Diese bekannten Richtungswinker haben folgende Nachteile: Erstens sind die Winker empfindlich und daher auf die Dauer nicht betriebssicher. Zweitens können die Gegenfahrer den Winker nicht immer sehen, z.B. in Kurven, wenn das Fahrzeug nach außen abbiegen will. Drittens finden Winker so gut wie niemals Verwendung an Krafträdern und Fahrrädern, weil ihre Empfindlichkeit eine dauerhafte und sichere Anbringung an diesen Fahrzeugen nicht ermöglicht.The invention relates to a direction indicator for motor vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles. Die Erfindung hat zur Aufgabe, ein einfaches, zuverlässiges und nicht zu übersehendes Signalsystem zu schaffen, das die genannten Nachteile nicht aufweist. Gemäß der Erfindung ist vorzugsweise sowohl vorne als auch hinten am Fahrzeug ein Gehäuse mit je zwei pfeilförmigen, beiderseits nach außen zeigenden Ausschnitten vorgesehen, hinter welchen zwei Signallampen angeordnet sind, die von einem vom Fahrer zu betätigenden Richtungsschalter wechselweise zum Aufleuchten gebracht werden können. Ein Fahrtrichtungsanzeiger dieser Art ist betriebssicher und in allen Fällen gut sichtbar. Es sind zwar ähnliche Signalsystem bekannt, die aus vier ortsfesten Signallichtern in Form von einfachen Lampen bestehen, von denen je eines auf dem Kotflügel des Kraftwagens angeordnet ist. Wenn der Fahrer z.B. eine Fahrtrichtungsänderung nach links anzeigen will, werden die beiden linken Stopplichter eingeschaltet. Gegenüber dieser Ausführung hat der Fahrtrichtungsanzeiger gemäß der Erfindung den Vorteil, daß er in je nur einer Vorrichtung vereinigt ist, die vorn und hinten an verhältnismäßig geschützter Stelle befestigt ist, und die in gedrungener, widerstandsfähiger Gestalt erscheint. Ferner ist die anzeige durch die nicht mißzuverstehenden Pfeile eindeutig und nicht zu übersehen, während eine bloße Lichtanzeige leicht Anlaß zur Verwechslung gibt, vor allem in starkem Verkehr in der Dunkelheit oder wenn die gegenseitige Lage zweier Wagen eine derartige ist, daß der eine Wagen den anderen nur einseitig beobachten kann, z.B. in Kurven.Similar signal systems are known which consist of four stationary signal lights in the form of simple lamps, one of which is arranged on the fender of the motor vehicle. Die Vorderseite des Gehäuses 1 ist mit zwei pfeilförmigen Ausschnitten 2, 3 versehen, von denen jeder nach außen zeigt. Die Ausschnitte 2, 3 sind z.B. mit rotem Glas, Zelluloid o.dgl. überdeckt, und hinter jedem Ausschnitt 2, 3 befindet sich im Gehäuse 1 eine Glühbirne 4 bzw. 5, die durch einen Schalter am Steuerrad (Kontrollbrett, Lenkstange) mit der Batterie des Fahrzeuges oder mit einer Trockenbatterie in Verbindung steht und von dieser gespeist wird. Die Zwischenwand 6 verhindert, daß das Licht einer Glühbirne durch den falschen Ausschnitt erscheinen kann.
