Bei den bisherigen Verschlüssen an mit Zahncreme, Hautcreme, Farben, Pasten u.dgl. gefüllten Tuben, musste das kleine Verschlußkäppchen bei der Benützung der Tube ganz abgeschraubt werden. Es wurde dann oft verlegt, fiel zur Erde oder namentlich bei Zahncremetuben ins Waschwasser usw. Gewöhnlich liess man die Tube offen, wodurch der Inhalt austrocknete.
