Der vorliegende mit den Neuerungen versehene Dachziegel nähert sich in seiner Form den bekannten, sogenannten französischen Falzziegeln; seine Construction ist aus der Zeichnung zu ersehen. Es stellt Fig. 1 die obere Ansicht, Fig. 2 Schnitt C-D, Fig. 3 Schnitt A-B, Fig. 4 untere Ansicht und Fig. 5 Seitenansicht dar. Die Eindeckung geschieht wie bei diesen, indem der Falz ^ in die Rinne b des nebenliegenden Ziegels, und der Falz e einer oberen Reihe in die durch die Falze d und d* gebildete Rinne der darunter liegenden Reihe Ziegel eingreift, und zwar so, dafs die Rinne b auf der Mitte eines letzteren solchen ausläuft, also der Einschnitt «den Einschnitt/" deckt. Der Einschnitt g- hat den Zweck, dem Wasser, welches die Rinne b ausgiefst, den Äbfiufs zu gestatten; die Erhöhung i dient zur Verzierung, und dazu, das ablaufende Wasser von der Fuge, welche das darunter liegende Ziegelpaar bildet, abzulenken; k ist die Nase zum Auf hängen des Ziegels, / sind zur Verstärkung angeordnete Rippen, und in den Einschnitt m legt sich die den Ziegel tragende Latte.The shape of the present roof tile, which has been provided with the innovations, approaches the well-known, so-called French interlocking tiles; its construction can be seen in the drawing. Von der Construction der französischen Falzziegel abweichend und neu ist die Anordnung der Rinne b. AVahrend die letztere bei diesen dieselbe Höhenlage wie die Grundplatte a hat, so dafs die auf der unteren Seite anzubringenden Falze ganz allein hervorragen, liegt dieselbe hier tiefer, wodurch es ermöglicht ist, dafs die auf der unteren Seite angeordneten j Falze e und e' ebenso wie die auf- der oberen Seite aufgesetzten d und d¹ je von einer der beiden parallelen Ebenen begrenzt werden, welche die erwähnte Rinne b und die ihr entsprechende; den Falz c tragende Erhöhung begrenzen. Ferner ist neu, dafs diese Rinne nicht gerade verläuft, sondern am oberen Theil so tief liegt, um in die den Falz c tragende Erhöhung die Vertiefungen h und h' einschneiden zu können, dann ansteigt und so höher liegend in der ursprünglichen Richtung weitergeführt ist, so dafs auch in die Rinne die Einschnitte m und η zu machen sind, ohne dafs der Ziegel an diesen Stellen geschwächt werden müfste oder eine gröfsere Dicke zu wählen wäre. Durch den Einschnitt m ist erreicht, dafs die Nase k nicht höher als die anderen auf der unteren Seite angebrachten Erhöhungen zu sein braucht. - Gegenüber den bekannten Modellen französischer Falzziegel ergiebt der vorliegende Ziegel folgende Vortheile: - Compared to the well-known models of French interlocking tiles, the present tile has the following advantages:
