Jeder Faserhalter 2 besteht aus zwei Halterhälften 17, 18, in denen jeweils mittig eine sich koaxial zur Längsachse 14 des Faserhalters 2 erstreckende Nut 21 zur Aufnahme eines Lichtwellenleiters ausgebildet ist. Das Mittelteil 30 eines jeden Faserhalters 2 weist zwei an den Halterhälften 17, 18 ausgebildete halbzylinderförmige Materialverdickungen 19 auf, an deren einem Endabschnitt 3 ein gegenüber den Materialverdickungen 19 vorragender halbkreisringförmiger Steg 4 ausgeformt ist. Faserhalter für Lichtwellenleiter zur Lagefixierung in einer Anschlußvorrichtung für Lichtwellenleiter, die aus einem Grundprofilkörper und mindestens einem Abdeckkörper besteht, die miteinander verbindbar sind und Nuten aufweisen, in die die Faserhalter und die Lichtwellenleiter eingelegt werden, wobei die Faserhalter aus jeweils zwei Halbschalen mit einer koaxial zu deren Längsachse ausgebildete Nut zur Aufnahme eines Lichtwellenleiters und einer äußeren Materialverdickung bestehen und in der Anschlußvorrichtung durch eine äußere Klemmeinrichtung zusammengehalten werden, die auf die äußeren Materialverdickungen der Halbschalen geschoben wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß an dem einen Endabschnitt (3) der Materialverdickungen (19) der als Halbschalen ausgebildeten Halterhälften (17, 18) jeweils ein gegenüber den Materialverdickungen (19) vorragender halbkreisringförmiger Steg (4) ausgeformt ist, an denen die Klemmeinrichtung (1) bei Zusammenbau des Faserhalters (2) anliegt.1.
