The rat, as a very resilient and adaptable animal, continues to pose a major problem not only in southern countries but also here, with the result that entire industries are concerned with the problem of rat extermination. In the past, rat extermination was mainly carried out with the help of chemical agents, i.e. rat poisons, which naturally had a harmful effect on other animal species on the one hand, and also represented a not insignificant burden on the environment, since such poisons regularly find their way into the groundwater. A newer agent uses an active ingredient that prevents blood clotting, in other words, a hemophiliac, which has the effect of causing rats to slowly bleed to death even with minor injuries (for example, caused by hitting their snouts). The rat's body gradually becomes softer; in technical jargon this is known as "softening". However, this softening means that due to the slow bleeding of the rat, constant contact with flies

CH 89 183 describes a non-toxic rat and mouse killer, which consists of a mixture of bread, burnt gypsum, mussel flour and a fragrance, without specifying the mixing ratio of the ingredients.

In C. Becher "Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel", 1953, pages 212-215, lines 19, 224, further pesticides are described which are made up of various components without, however, mentioning specific recipe examples for the quantitative composition of particularly effective pesticides.

DE-PS 919 617 proposes a flour-based pesticide, the flour content of which is to be chosen between 25% - 30%. Finally, DE-PS 832 359 proposes a non-toxic rat killer, which consists of a mixture of wheat flour and burnt gypsum.

The aim of the innovation is to create a generic pesticide that, on the one hand, ensures effective control of rats and mice, and, on the other hand, does not cause any environmental pollution and does not pose any danger to humans or animal species.

The problem is solved by the characterizing part of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the exterminating agent emerge from subclaims 2-6.

Birds, especially chickens, have a digestive system that is different from that of rodents, which ensures that the components are immediately broken down. The process according to the invention also offers the additional advantage that the mixture of natural bait and gypsum to be used can be produced directly on site. As already mentioned at the beginning, flour is particularly suitable as a natural, plant-based bait. Flour is preferred by rats and mice as a food and can easily be mixed with plaster without any visible change occurring. Different types of flour can be used as flour, e.g. wheat, rye, barley and corn flour. In addition, flour is available all over the world without any major problems.

Conveniently, the proportion of gypsum is larger than the proportion of bait substance.

It has been found to be advantageous that the acceptance of the mixture is increased even further if a powdered flavoring agent is added. This flavoring agent masks the taste of the plaster in the mixture, in other words it corrects the taste.

Powdered sugar has proven to be a particularly effective flavoring agent. In addition, powdered sugar is invisible in the mixture due to its consistency and is also 100% organic.

To identify mixtures of different flavors, it is advantageous to add a colorant. Natural colored chalk has proven to be particularly effective for this. Even small amounts of additives are sufficient to achieve a certain color, and the mixture as a whole remains 100% organic.

Alternatively, fish meal is used as a bait or flavoring agent. Fish meal has a similar effect to the flavoring agent powdered sugar, is also easy to produce and is a waste product of the fishing industry, so that fish meal can be used advantageously, especially in coastal areas. An effective mixture of the pesticide according to the invention is characterized by the following composition:

300 - 500 wt.% natural, vegetable

0 - 50 wt.% flavoring

0-40 wt.% colorant

A particularly effective mixture is characterized by the following limited composition range:

380 - 420 wt.% natural, vegetable

430 - 470 wt.% gypsum

20 - 40 wt.% flavoring

10 - 30 wt.% colorant

The following is an example recipe:

400 wt.% flour 450 wt.% gypsum 30 wt.% icing sugar
