Description
So darf z. When washing worn and soiled laundry, bleaching and, if necessary, stain removal are often required in addition to cleaning. In household laundry, detergents containing so-called oxygen bleaching agents are predominantly used for bleaching, insofar as the previously practiced lawn bleaching is no longer feasible. In the company washes, the oxygen bleaching has also increasingly prevailed over the chlorine bleaching. In order to protect the fibers, especially with regard to the new synthetic fibers, the relevant authorities have specified a maximum amount of bleaching agents for laundry bleaching. So z. B. only ι ecm H 2 O 2 30% per ι kg of laundry are used in the so-called oxygen bleaching. With these small quantities, however, the perfectly white laundry is not always achieved, as was the case in the past. Above all, many stains that appear when the laundry is used cannot be removed with this weak bleach.
Das neue Verfahren hat außerdem den großen Vorteil, daß nichtIt has now been found that chlorites, especially sodium chlorite, are gentle on fibers Can carry out laundry bleaching, not only a sparkling white, but also a ■ blotchy Laundry is achieved. Sodium chlorite not only removes the usual stains, but also those with oxygen bleaching agents, especially in the concentrations now prescribed, do not go out, e.g. B. red wine and Blueberry stains, remove smoothly «. The new method also has the great advantage that not
nur küpengefärbte bzw. bedruckte Buntwäsche, sondern auch naphtliolgefärbtebzw. bedruckte Buntwäsche, welche gegenüber heißen alkalischen Sauerstoffflotten unbeständig sind, damit behandelt werden können.only vat-dyed or printed colored laundry, but also naphthiol-dyed or printed colored laundry, which are not resistant to hot alkaline oxygen liquors, treated with it can be.
Die sauern Chloritlösungen eignen sich besonders für die Beseitigung hartnäckigerThe sodium chlorite treatment can be carried out in a neutral, weakly alkaline, predominantly acidic medium are executed. The acidic chlorite solutions are particularly suitable for removing stubborn
Vorteilhaft können auch zwecks Entfernung von Metallsalzflecken geeignete Komplexbildner, wie Hexametaphosphat, Nitrilotriessigsäure, Äthylendiamintetramethylearbonsäure bzw. deren Natriumsalze, zugesetzt werden.ίο stains while to achieve a bleaching effect or white laundry as well as less stubborn stains neutral, optionally weakly alkaline chlorite solutions can be used. The treatment is advantageously carried out at an elevated temperature. When used in an acidic medium if you add acids such as acetic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, oxalic acid to the sodium chlorite solution, to or acidic salts, such as sodium monophosphate, acidic sodium pyrophosphate, potassium oxalate, Potassium bifluoride, or suitable buffer mixtures or Mixtures of acids and salts. Can also be advantageous for the purpose of removing metal salt stains suitable complexing agents, such as hexametaphosphate, nitrilotriacetic acid, ethylenediaminetetramethylarboxylic acid or their sodium salts, are added.
It can also be used ready-made mixtures from a suitable Mixture of solid, optionally with inert substances such as sodium sulphate Sodium chlorite and a solid organic acid and / or an acidic salt or salt mixtures or buffers, salts are composed. A suitable mixture can optionally also be used for such a mixture Detergents, such as fatty alcohol sulfonates, fatty acid condensation products, propylated naphthalene sulfonic acids, Methyl cellulose, among others, may be added.
The sodium chlorite treatment can be used both in household laundry and in company laundry will. Ready-to-use mixtures, as described above, are advantageously suitable for the former are. Sodium chlorite treatment is useful in the machine wash of laundries carried out in the last wash cycle.
Relatively weak solutions are sufficient to achieve the required effect, z. B. 01.05 to 0.5 sodium chlorite per liter.
The new process is particularly advantageous for the new gelulose synthetic fibers, since the Swelling phenomena occurring in the alkaline range, which are particularly evident in machine washing lead to strong mechanical wear of the synthetic fibers, when used acidic Sodium chlorite liquors are avoided.
