Description
B. Glas, eingekittet.Process for the manufacture of cemented polarizing filters. Article The invention is a special manufacturing method for between cover disks cemented polarizers. The well-known dichroic polarizers are against various chemicals, e.g. B. to water, more or less sensitive, including the life of the polarizers suffers. It has therefore already been suggested that polarizers, usually in the form of a film, with one protecting them against moisture S layer to be provided. In many cases, the polarization films are also placed between cover panes, z. B. glass, cemented.
It has now been found that the per se small, in the for cementing used substances, existing moisture or other chemical substances exert a harmful influence on the polarizing substance. To avoid This disadvantage is therefore proposed according to the invention, the polarizing film before cementing with a protective layer that isolates them from harmful substances to be covered and cemented in this state between cover plates. Has the protective layer has the property of a cement, d. H. she cemented both of them to her adjacent layers, with each other. One layer in this case is the polarization film, the other the actual putty substance., on which because of other properties, below, z. B. because of their good adhesion opposite the cover disc, should not be waived.
In addition to its protective effect, the protective layer has the task of to ensure good adhesion between the polarization film and the cement substance., while these bring about the adhesion between the protective layer and the cover pane got to. As a protective layer for use in the cementing method according to the invention. is suitable e.g. B. nitrocellulose. Suitable for cementing between the cover plates Materials include plastics based on acrylic resins.
The advantage achieved by the inventive putty method is a greater one Durability of the film against moisture and other harmful substances justifies the in itself small. Additional effort in cementing compared to known methods.
