Beschreibung
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Gelenkprothese der im Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 angegebenen Art.
Die Erfahrung bei der Implantation von zementfreien Hüftprothesen hat gezeigt, daß der Femurmarkraum gegen eine poetoperative Blutung nicht verschlossen ist. Bei der Implantation einer zementfreien Hüfte ist es operativ nicht möglich, einen Kragenaufsitz so exakt anzupassen, daß dieser eine Dichtung gegen Blutungen gewährleistet. Da die postoperativen Blutungen zu gro&fcn Hämatomen führen, die sich nachhaltig schädlich auswirken, indem sie Verkalkungen verursachen, muß versucht werden, während der Operation diese Blutung zu unterbinden.
Zur Abdichtung von Femurmarkräumen gegen postoperative Blutungen nach der Implantation von zementfreien Prothesen ist es zwar bekannt, den Spalt zwischen dem Calcar des Femurs und dem Prothesenkragen mit Fibrinkleber abzudichten. Dieser Weg ist jedoch sehr kostspielig.
Der im kennzeichnenden Teil des Anspruchs 1 angegebenen Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, bei eine Gelenkprothese der eingangs genannten Gattung anzugeben, bei der eine Abdichtung gegen postoperative Blutungen auf einfache Weise erzielbar.
Die Erfindung beruht auf der Erkenntnis, daß durch Anbringen eines zusätzlichen Dichtungsrings aus Silikon unter-

halb des Prothesenkragens mit einem bevorzugt dreieckförmigen Querschnitt eine sichere Abdichtung des Femurmarkraums gegen austretende Körperflüssigkeit gegeben ist.
Bei vorteilhaften Weiterbildungen der ist der Dichtring oval ausgebildet oder in sonstiger Weise dem Schaftquerschnitt angepaßt. Wenn das Profil des Rings dem Übergangsbereich zwischen Kragenunterseite und Schaftquerschnitt formmäßig angepaßt ist, ergibt sich eine besonders gute Dichtwirkung, da der Ring in diesem Fall flächig anliegt. Insbesondere wenn die Verbindungslinie zischen zwei Linien, welche mit im wesentlichen gleicher Länge an Schaft und Kragen anliegen, geradlinig oder leicht konkav bzw. konvex gekrümmt ist, läßt sich eine undurchlässige Abdichtung zum Knochenraum erzielen. Der Ring besteht bevorzugt aus Silicon, d.h. Silastic-Material, das körperverträglich und bleibend elastisch ist.
Die vorteilhaften Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind in den Unteransprüchen gekennzeichnet bzw. werden nachstehend zusammen mit der Beschreibung der bevorzugten Ausführung der Erfindung anhand der Figuren näher dargestellt. Es zeigen:

Bei der in Figur 1 wiedergegebenen Schaftprothese 1, die in den Femur 2 eingesetzt ist/ besteht zwischen dem Kaikar des Femur und dem Kragen,3 der Prothese zu deren Schaft 4

Erfindungsgemäß ist zur Abdichtung ein Dichtring 5 vorgesehen, der in Figur 2 separat in einer Teildarstellung wiedergegeben ist. Der Dichtring' hat einen im wesentlichen . λ 10 dreieckförmigen Querschnitt, wobei die beiden Schenkel 6 und 7, die sich radial und achsial erstrecken und der Anlage an der Unterseite des Prothesenkragens 3 bzw. am Schaft 4 bestimmt sind, im wesentlichen gleich lang ausgebildet sind. Die beiden Flächen bilden im Querschnitt einen rechten Winkel oder aber sind in sonstiger Weise an die Form der zugehörigen Prothese angepaßt. Die Verbindungslinie 8 zwischen den Enden der Schenkel 6 und 7 verläuft vorzugsweise geradlinig oder ist konkav bzw. konvex in der Weise gekrümmt, daß der Ring im Querschnitt eine genügende Materialstärke aufweist, welche ein dichtendes Anliegen an den anschließenden Knochenraum ermöglicht. Der Ring besteht vorzugsweise aus Silikonkautschuk ) und ist an der sterilisierten Prothese vormontiert, so daß für den behandelnden Chirurgen keinerlei zusätzliche Handhabungen auszuführen sind. Die Ringform des Silikonrings 5 ist dem Schaftquerschnitt der Prothese angepaßt. Gegebenenfalls kann er mit der Prothese durch entsprechendes anformen fest verbunden sein.

im Schnitt wiedergegeben. Im linken Teil der Darstellung ist der dort wiedergebene Femurteil 2' noch gegenüber der Einführungsrichtung zurückgesetzt und der Ring 4 ist entspannt. In der im rechten Teil wiedergegebenen Position des Femurteils 2" liegt deäsen Oberkante bereits am Dichtring unter Preßdruck an und verformt den Bereich 7, so daß eine zuverlässige Abdichtung gegeben ist. Durch die bevorzugt dreieckähnliche Gestaltung liegt der Ring auch dann am Knochen dichtend an, wenn die innere umlaufende Kante des Femurs 2 nicht exakt kantig ausgebildet ist bzw. wenn die obere Abischlußfläche Unebenheiten aufweist. Diese Abdichtung wird auch im implantierten Zustand und unter Belastung ohne Beeinträchtigung aufrechterhalten.

2. Gelenkprothese nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Ring (5) oval ausgebildet oder in sonstiger Weise dem Schaftquerschnitt der Prothese angepaßt ist.
3. Gelenkprothese nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Querschnittsprofil des Rings (5) dem übergangsbereich zwischen Kragenunterseite und Schaftquerschnitt angepaßt ist.
4. Gelenkprothese nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Querschnittsprofil
derartig gestaltet ist, daß die Verbindungslinie zwischen beiden Kanten (6 und 7) des Profils, welche an Schaft (4) bzw. und Kragen (3) der Prothese anliegen, geradlinig oder leicht konkav bzw. konvex gekrümmt ist.
