Ueber dem Generator befindet sich ein Behälter Ά zur Aufnahme des zu vergasenden Petroleums, welches durch ein Rohr B in den Generatorraum geleitet wird; daselbst strömt es durch eine Siebdüse auf die aus Chamotte bestehende Mulde C. Diese Mulde dient zur Vergasung des Petroleums und wird bei Einleitung des Ofenbetriebes mittelst der Rostfeuerung D bis zur Rothglut erhitzt.
