Bei einem variablen Raumteiler für den Innenausbau werden einerseits vertikale Standsäulen mit einem entlang ihres Umfangs einen Kranz von T-förmig profilierten längsverlaufenden Stegen verwendet, zwischen denen längsverlaufende hinterschnittene Nuten entstehen. Weiter gehören dazu Trennwände, die jeweils zwischen zwei Standsäulen angeordnet werden und über Anschlußglieder wahlweise in bestimmten Profilhöhen der Standsäule angeschlossen werden. Um einen einfachen, preiswerten Raumteiler zu entwickeln, der bei sparsamer Ausbildung des Standsäulenprofils eine Vielfalt von Anschlußmöglichkeiten für Trennwände eröffnet, wird vorgeschlagen, das Anschlußglied aus einem wendbar an der Standsäule einkuppelbaren Klemmschuh zu bilden, der zueinander gegensätzliche Kuppelenden aufweist, die einerends als patrizenförmige und anderends als matrizenförmige Kuppelflächen ausgebildet sind, die wahlweise einen Steg oder eine Nut der Säule erfassen können. Der Klemmschuh ist von einer Gewindebohrung durchsetzt für eine darin eindrehbare Kopfschraube, deren Schaftende dann jeweils an einer ausgewählten Profilstelle der Standsäule abstützbar ist. Das dabei jeweils radial nach außen weisende Kopfende der Schraube dient zum Einhängen eines am Stirnende der Trennwand befindlichen Schlitzes.
