Claims (15)
1. Pharmazeutische Zubereitung zur Behandlung eines an einer chronisch progredienten
Gefäßerkrankung (chronic progressive vascular disease = CPVD) die durch Narbenbildung
und/oder Fibrösen in einem betroffenen Organ oder Gefäß gekennzeichnet
ist, leidenden Säugers als Patienten, um ein Voranschreiten der Erkrankung zu verhindern
und die Auflösung bereits gebildeter Narben oder fibrotischer Läsionen zu
bewirken, wobei die Zubereitung eine zur Behandlung der Gefäßerkrankung wirksame
Menge an Pentosanpolysulfat (PPS) oder eines pharmazeutisch annehmbaren Salzes desselben enthält.
2. Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 1, bei der die Erkrankung aus der Gruppe gewählt ist,
die besteht aus: der chronisch progredienten Glomerulitis, einschließlich der Diabetes-induzierten
Glomerulosklerose (Narbenbildung); dem progredienten Nierenversagen nach Nierentrasplantationen, der Occlusion von Shunts (Nebenschlüssen),
die zur Bereitstellung von Gefäßzugängen bei Patienten mit Nierenerkrankungen im
Endstadium, die mit Hämodialyse behandelt werden, angewandt werden; chronische Erkrankungen der kleinen Blutgefäße; Wiederauftreten von Stenosen bei Patienten,
die sich bereits coronaren Bypaß-Operationen unterzogen haben, und der diabetischen
Retinopathie.
3. Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 2, bei der die Erkrankung die chronisch progredienten
Glomerulitis ist.
4. Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 1, die eine zur Bereitstellung der gesamten oder eines
wesentlichen Teils einer Tagesgesamtdosis ausreichende Menge an PPS oder des PPS-Salzes enthält, das zur Behandlung und Reversion der Erkrankung des Patienten
wirksam ist.

5. Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 4, bei der die Tagesdosis etwa 50 bis etwa 1200 mg
beträgt.
6. Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 5, bei der die Tagesdosis etwa 100 bis etwa 600 mg
beträgt.
7. Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 4, bei der die Tagesdosis in ein bis vier gleichmäßig
verteilten Dosen verabreicht wird.
8. Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 1 in Form einer oral verabreichten Dosis.
9. Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 1, bei der die Dosisform aus der Gruppe gewählt ist,
die aus herkömmlichen oder Retard-Tabletten, beschichteten Tabletten (Dragees), Kapseln, Caplets, Pastillen, Flüssigkeiten und Elixieren besteht.
10. Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 8, bei der die Dosisform mindestens einen pharmazeutisch
geeigneten, inerten Bestandteil enthält.
11. Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 10, bei der dieser inerte Bestandteil ein Füllstoff,
Bindemittel, Lösungsmittel, Exzipiens oder Träger ist.
12. Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 8, bei der die Dosisform pro Einheit etwa 50 bis etwa
300 mg PPS oder eines pharmazeutisch annehmbaren Salzes desselben enthält.
13. Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 1, bei der das pharmazeutisch geeignete Salz das
Natriumsalz ist.
14. Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 13 in Form einer Gelatinekapsel, die Natrium-PPS,
mikrokristalline Cellulose und Magnesiumstearat enthält.
15. Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 1, die einen weiteren pharmazeutisch aktiven
Bestandteil enthält.
