Mit den bisher bekannten Arten von Sonnenschirmen wurde der alleinige Zweck der Schattengebung verfolgt. Deshalb wurden ausschließlich sonnenabhaltende Materialien als Schirmbezug verwendet. Bei dem hier zu beschreibenden Erfindungsgegenstand handelt es sich um einen Sonnenschirm, bei dem durch zweckentsprechende 'festal tuag des Bezuges und Materialauswahl erreicht wird, daß die brennenden, u.U. gesundheitsschädlichen Sonnenstrahlen durch den Bezug absorbiert oder gedämpft werden, während der angenehme, bräunende Teil der Strahlen durchgelassen wird. Diese Funktion wird dadurch erreicht, daß man als Schirmbezug eine vorzugsweise transparente, farbige Filterfoiie oder ähnliches geeignetes Material verwendet. Dadurch wird, wie bei den beispielsweise auf dem G«biet der Fotografie längst bekannten Gelbfilter, Ultraviolettfilter etc. ein Filtrieren des Sonnenlichts erreicht. Durch mehr oder weniger starke Verdichtung der Färbsässe besw. der Filterstruktur ergeben sich die vielfältigsten Grade der Filterung oder Lichtabsorbtion.With the previously known types of parasols, the sole purpose of providing shade was pursued.
