Es wird nicht die bekannte Verbindung durch Nut und Feder oder Schw.albenschwanzverzapfung und auch nicht die Verbindung (Verleimung) von zwei glattvif Flächen angewendet, und es werden auch nicht, wie sonst üblich, beide Teile gerieft, sondern es wird nur das Hartholz gerieft und das geriefte Hartholz mit seinen Kanten in dass Weichholz eingedrückt. Diese Verbindung, die sich nur bei Hölzern von großer unterschiedlicher Härte ausführen läßt, hat den Vorteil der einfacheren Herstellung.
