Abstract

The stand (1) consists of a base (2) and a display plate (4) made e.g. from an injected or molded plastic. The base and plate are connected by a hinge (6) which allows the plate to be laid flat on top of the base or set at an angle to it. The hinge comprises a circular recess in the lower end of the plate and a cylinder (34) with a partly grooved surface on the base to engage with the recess. A tongue (42) on the tip of the plate fits into a slot (44) in the base.
