Abstract

For ensuring the relief of multi-directional tractive forces exerted on a cable (12), one end of which is fastened to a connector (13), at least one turn of the cable is wound onto a reel (22) which is placed in direct proximity to the connector. In particular, the cable (12) can connect a wire-guided missile to a firing station carrying the connector (13) and the reel (22). During the transport of the missile, clamping parts (26, 34) temporarily connect a support (24) carrying the reel (22) and the connector (13) to the missile. <IMAGE>
