Dieses Gefäß ist zum Teil mit Wasser w gefüllt, unter dessen Oberfäche das Rohr t ausmündet. Dadurch wird in dem Wasserbehälter ein brodelndes Geräusch hervorgerufen, an welchem der Operateur erkennt, daß die Atmung des Patienten in Ordnung ist. Die Ausatemluft entweicht durch das an dem Deckelas sitzende Rohr x ins Freie. An der Maske ist ein Drehschieber y angebracht, der nur in der ersten Einatmungsphase der Narkose betätigt wird und zur direkten Zuführung von Frischluft dient. Der Vergasungsraum der Kammer ist durch einen Deckel d verschlossen, der aus einer Glasplatte besteht.
