Nach dem Verfahren des Haupt-Patentes Nr. 65131 erhält man reine Salicylsäure bezw. reinigt man unreine Salicylsäure durch Behandlung der Lösung der letzteren mit Zinnchlorür. Die Versuche haben nun ergeben, dafs man mit Hülfe dieses Verfahrens auch andere organische Säuren, beispielsweise die m- und o-Kresotinsäuren, Anissäure, Vanillinsäure, Veratrinsäure und Protöcatechinsäure und auch Phenol bezw. die Phenolalkohole, so beispielsweise Resorcin, durch Behandlung der betreffenden Flüssigkeit oder Lösung mit Zinnchlorür behufs Ausfällung von Unreinigkeiten in gleicher Weise reinigen und so aus unreinen Producten oder Laugen bezw. Flüssigkeiten die reinen organischen Säuren bezw.
