Die Erfindung betrifft einen Tastensender für Telegraphenapparate mit besonderen Tasten für verschiedene Zeichengruppen, z. B. Buchstaben und Zahlen, die die gleichen Zeichenkombinationen verwenden. Zur Auswahl eines gewünschten Zeichens einer Zeichengruppe muß man beim Übergang auf eine andere Zeichengruppe ein bestimmtes Umschaltezeichen vorsehen, das vor dem eigentlichen Zeichen ausgesendet wird. Hierdurch wird es möglich, z. B. mit 'einer Kombination von fünf Elementen, mehr als 32 Zeichen auszusenden. Durch die Übertragung des der gewünschten Zeichengruppe entsprechenden Umschaltezeichens wird am Empfänger z. B. eine Umschaltung bzw. Die selbsttätige Aussendung des Umschaltezeichens sowie die Aufspeicherung der der gedrückten Taste entsprechenden Impulskombination wurde hierbei durch rein mechanische Steuereinrichtungen bewirkt. Hierzu war eine Mehrzahl von Nockenwellen und Steuerhebelanordnungen erforderlich, welche sich gegenseitig auslösten.
