Es ist auch schon bekannt, an einem Schlaggeräte, und zwar auf dessen Rückseite, eine Ballauffangvorrichtung vorzunehmen, die aus zwei gegenüberstehenden Flügeln besteht, zwischen welchen der ankommende Ball mit Hilfe gezahnter Leisten aufgefangen und gehalten wird. Im Gegensatz hierzu ist es neu, aufgefangene Bälle unmittelbar wieder aus der Fangvorrichtung herauszuschleudern, ohne den Ball zu berühren. Durch diese Kombination eröffnen sich für die Ballspieler ganz neue Richtlinien, da der Gegenspieler bei einem etwaigen Doppelspiele niemals weiß, ob sein Partner den Ball durch Schlagen oder Schleudern zurückgibt. Auch für Einzelspieler bedeutet die neue Vorrichtung ein unterhaltendes Spielzeug, da der Ball auf den Boden, an die Wand oder in die Luft geschleudert und geschlagen sowie wieder aufgefangen oder zurückgeschlagen werden kann.
Das Wesen der Erfindung ist darin zu erblicken, daß das Spielzeug aus einem Schlagbreite sowie einer zu diesem Brett im spitzen Winkel stehenden elastischen Schlagfläche besteht, an welcher zweckmäßig der Griff angeordnet ist. Der Ball kann entweder mit dem Schlagbrett oder der mit Gummiband oder einem anderen elastischen Stoffe bespannten Gegenflache geschlagen werden, während zum Auffangen des Balles der spitzwinklige Zwischenraum zwischen den zwei Schlagflächen dient. Durch die Ausbildung und Anordnung dieser zwei Schlagteile entsteht das beschriebene Fanggerät, aus welchem der aufgefangene und durch die elastische Bespannung der einen Fläche geklemmt gehaltene Ball wieder unmittelbar zu dem Gegenspieler oder an die Wand usw. zurückgeschleudert werden kann. Bei dieser Schleuderbewegung wird das Spielzeug naturgemäß in der Hand gedreht, so daß der Fangschlitz, gebildet durch die Kanten der Schläger, in Richtung des zu schleudernden Balles steht. Eine weitere Möglichkeit besteht darin, an einen Tennisschläger eine der Form des Schlägerkranzes angepaßte, im spitzen Winkel angeordnete, lösbare zweite Schlagfläche mit elastischer Bespannung anzuordnen, wodurch auch das bekannte Lawntennis neue Variationen erfahren kann.
