Abstract

An upright vacuum cleaner, comprising a motor housing adapted to house motor means, a flexible suction pipe having a first end connected to the motor housing and a second end defining a suction mouth, and a handle structure for the motor housing and the suction pipe. The handle structure comprises at least two substantially elongated rigid elements, connected to each other through at least one articulated joint. The motor housing is mobile with respect to said handle structure between a first operating position, in which the motor housing locks said at least one articulated joint, and a second operating position, in which the motor housing unlocks said at least one articulated joint, allowing said vacuum cleaner to take up an articulated configuration. Such an articulated configuration is particularly advantageous to carry out the cleaning of difficult-to-reach zones, like the spaces between furniture and floor.
