Abstract

The invention concerns a rectilinear combing method and a combing machine therefor. Said method is characterised in that it consists essentially in combing the fibre heads with a circular comb (7), equipped with needles or teeth (8) distributed over at least 60 % of its periphery, said circular comb (7) performing a fraction number or a whole number of rotations (N) per machine cycle. The invention is more particularly applicable in the textile industry, in particular to rectilinear combing machines.
