Abstract

A centrifugal pump comprises an inner casing and an outer casing surrounding the inner casing in a fluid tight way. The outer casing has an inlet at an axial end and a tangentially oriented outlet at its circumference. The outer casing comprises at least two outer casing parts which can be joined to each other in a fluid tight way along a joining face. The joining face extends along at least two planes that are oriented at an angle with respect to each other. The joining face runs continuously outside of the tangentially oriented outlet at the circumference of the outer casing.
