Eine Metallplatte A ist mittelst Scharniere a an dem einen Buchdeckel B befestigt. Unter dem Cylinder C bezw. der Oeffnung c ist eine Metallplatte D mit der Feder E angebracht, welche die Nase F trägt. Soll das Buch geschlossen werden, so wird der Haken e in die Spalte zwischen Nase F und Cylinder C eingeführt, drückt die Feder E herunter und springt schliefslich in die Oeffnung c ein, in welcher Stellung die Platte A durch die Feder festgehalten wird. Der Verschlufs des Schlosses ist somit bewerkstelligt. Soll das Schlofs geöffnet werden, so wird die Platte A niedergedrückt, dadurch wird ebenfalls die Feder E nach unten bewegt, der Haken e wird frei, und das Buch kann geöffnet werden.A metal plate A is attached to one book cover B by means of hinges a .
