Die hohe Eignung beruht darauf, daß durch den entsprechend bemessenen Zusatz an Tantal, Niob usw. der gesamte Kohlenstoff abgebunden wird, wodurch die Legierung auch nach einer einer Anlaßbehandlung gleichkommenden Erwärmung auf etwa 5oo bis goo° gegen den Angriff von Säuren oder Salzlösungen beständig bleibt, ohne dabei brüchig zu werden. Diese günstige Eigenschaft ist für den bezeichneten Verwendungszweck von großer Wichtigkeit, weil bei der Verarbeitung der Legierung zu den oben aufgeführten Gegenständen Hartlötungen, die eine Erwärmung des Werkstückes bis zu goo° bedingen, oft vorgenommen werden müssen.
