Description

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Putz- und Poliermittel, bestehend aus porösem, weichem Papier, welches mit einem Poliermittel irxi-'I* prägniert wird. Putz- und Poliermittel dieser Art werden zu einem faustgroßen Ballen lose zaisammengeknüllt; diese eignen sich dann sehr gut zum Abstäuben und Polieren von Möbeln u. dgl., indem der Staub nicht umherfliegt, sondern sich in dem porösen Papier festsetzt, das nach Gebrauch fort geworfen wird. Als Poliermittel ,zur Imprägnierungi des weichen, porösen Papiers benutzte man bisher ein Öl, wie z.B. Terpentin," das insofern eine Reinigungswirkung auf die Möbelpolituren ausübt, indem die Oberfläche der Lackschicht etwas erweicht oder aufgelöst wird, wobei Schrammen und Risse zum Verschwinden gebracht werden. Eine häufige Polierung mit einem Putz- und Poliermittel dieser bekannten Art führt daher allmählich zur Abreibung des Lacküberzuges.
t Die Erfindung beseitigt diesen Nachteil, indem statt eines läckauflösenden Öles ein Paraffinöl zur Imprägnierung des weichen, porösen Papiers benutzt wird. Paraffinöl hat die Wirkung, daß es bei Abnahme des! Schmutzes von der Lackfläche gleichzeitig) eine dünne Wachsschicht auf- die Lackschicht aufträgt, die Schrammen und kleine Risse in der Lackschicht ausfüllt und unsichtbar macht. Eine Auflösung der Lackschicht findet daher nicht statt. Zwecks Beschleunigung der Reinigungsarbeit kann man dem Paraffinöl ein mildes Schleifmittel, wie z. B. Calciumcarbonat, beimischen, bevor es zur Iniprägnierung des Papiers benutzt wird.
