Abstract

In a filter silencer on the intake side of a compressor, with a plurality of annular silencing elements (2) and (2a) consisting of segments butted in a circumferential direction, the base body is designed as a cast monobloc, the silencing segments are fixed on the support part by means of ribs which are cast integrally and radially and have grooves, and the filter frame consists of a perforated plate or a plurality of detachable perforated plate halves connected to one another by means of connection elements. The advantages of the invention comprise, inter alia, simplified assembly and a reduction in the number of components and in the production costs, combined with improved silencing even for higher-frequency excitation. <IMAGE>
