Abstract

Wood which has been cut into logs (45) is placed on a horizontal platform (1) with a metal cage (6) at one end of the platform. The cage (1) rests against a pallet (43) turned on edge. The logs are then strapped (47) to the platform forming disc-shaped bundles (49). The logs and platform are then turned though 90 degrees to a vertical position with the pallet on which they may then be removed to a convenient storage location.
