The greatest security lies in the present castle:

ι. in the application of two bars α and λ ';

2. the so-called bill of exchange b;

4. tumblers open in four sliding blocks each side.

The change b, which engages over two pins e and e 'fastened in the bars α and a ' and rotates around m , has the effect that both bars can only be pushed at the same time. For this purpose, however, the second bit must also be present on the key in order to lift the tumblers d and d ^l at the same time so that both bolts α and a 'can move freely. The change b and the double bit on the key c thus offer the safest guarantee against unlocking the lock.

kk ¹ and k ² are guide pins of bolts a and a ^l .

I and P are pins in which the tumblers engage, the latter at the same time limiting the stroke length of the bolt during their construction. The tumblers must be precisely matched to the shape of the beard in order to allow the pins / and / 'to pass through the flat slots 0 and o ^l .

The present lock would therefore be very useful for securing to shop doors, counters as well as on safes.
