Abstract

The rotary barrel has a barrel housing (2) and a rotor (3) fitted to rotate therein and several locking pins (5, 6) which are arranged for the release of the rotor (3) by a key inserted in a key channel (4) of the rotor (3). At least one locking pin (5) has a core pin (12, 20, 23), the end (13) of which, which projects forward and into the key channel (4), is formed in such a way that, in the event of unauthorised attempts at opening the lock by a vibrating instrument, it is bent, deformed or broken off.
