Abstract

The movable assembly to be placed over an explosive body, for protection against the effects of an explosion, has a tubular structure with a min. height of 200 mm, and open at both sides. The structure wall is in a number of layers, with an anti-ballistic layer at least for the outer layers. The matting to cover the structure on the opposite to the explosive body is in a number of layers, at least partially of an anti-ballistic material. The multi-layer wall is a woven material of aramid, gel-spun polyethylene or glass fibres, in a finished or unfinished fabric. The fibres can be used singly or in combinations. The mat reinforcement is at least 10 layers of finished or unfinished woven material of aramid fibres or fibre mixtures with aramid fibres.
