Erst die Verwendung der aus Glycerin und Phthalsäureanhydrid erhaltenen Kondensationsprodukte ermöglicht die Herstellung vollkommener Sicherheitsgläser. Statt dieses Kondensationsproduktes können auch solche benutzt werden, bei denen ein Teil des Glycerins durch- andere mehrwertige Alkohole, ,z. B.
