Description

Im Patent 552 902 ist weiter dargelegt worden, daß man durch Anwendung organischer worden-, wie Glycerin, Polyglykol usw., das Quelllungs- rund Schrumpfungsvermögen der Kapseln steigern kann..Process for the production of shrink capsules made of cellulose which can be shipped in the dry state In patent 457 542 it has been shown that by adding small amounts of substances readily soluble in water, such as sodium carbonate, sodium sulfite, etc., to shrink capsules made of cellulose in the water-moist state, and subsequent drying Can get capsules that swell strongly when placed in water and in this state have a high shrinkage capacity. In the patent 552 902 it was further shown that one can increase the swelling and shrinking capacity of the capsules by using organic substances such as glycerine, polyglycol etc.

It has now been found that a considerable part of the Polyhydroxides by the easily soluble in water salts of the alkaline earth metals or of metals of the magnesium group, such as magnesium or zinc sulfate. The only exceptions to this are calcium chloride, zinc chloride, calcium rhodanide, that is Salts that have a very strong dispersing effect on cellulose. The latter can do that They do not increase the swelling capacity of the capsules very significantly, nor do they result Capsules that remain constantly moist when exposed to air. So are z. B. after the British Patent 236,336 produced capsules permanently wet, apart from the fact that their Production considerably less economical than that according to the present invention is. Example A water-moist shrink capsule is impregnated with a solution 10 parts by weight of glycerol, 20 parts by weight of magnesium sulfate in 70 parts of water and dries the capsule. Before use, it is soaked in water, whereby it strongly swells.

PATEN T ANSPRUGII Process according to patent 457 542 for the production of capsules made of cellulose which can be shipped in the dry state, characterized in that the moist capsules are mixed with organic polyhydroxides, which are readily water-soluble salts of alkaline earth metals or metals of the magnesium group, preferably magnesium or zinc , are added, which, like magnesium or zinc sulfate, have a little dispersing effect on the cellulose, soaks and then dries.
