In dieser besonderen Kupplungsmuffe hat man auch bereits ringförmige Räume zur Aufnahme eines durch den Überdruck gegen die Außenwand des Rohrs und die Innenwand der Kupplungsmuffe gepreßten Dichtungsmittels vorgesehen. Die auf den beiden Rohrenden 1 und 2 zu befestigenden Kupplungshälften 3 und 4 sind an ihren hinteren Enden als Schellen ausgebildet und mit Lappen 13 und 14 versehen, die z.B. durch Schrauben 15 und 16 zusammengezogen werden. Damit nun die Kupplungshälften gegen die Rohre abgedichtet werden, sind in sie ringförmige Räume 7 und 17 eingearbeitet, in die ein Dichtungsmittel eingelegt oder eingestopft wird. Diese Ringnuten sind dabei so angeordnet und ausgebildet, daß die unter Druck stehende Flüssigkeit im Rohrinnern das Dichtungsmittel nach außen zu drängen sucht und es damit fest gegen die abzudichtenden Flächen andrückt. Man kann z. B. den Ringraum kegelförmig machen, wie es bei 17 gezeigt ist, so daß z.B. ein kegelförmiger Gummiring eingelegt werden kann. Man kann den Raum aber auch noch in anderer Weise ausbilden, z. B. zylinderförmig, wie es bei 7 gezeigt ist. Auch hier kann ein Gummiring eingelegt oder irgendeine Dichtungsmasse eingestopft werden. Ein Herausfallen der Dichtungskörper kann durch geeignete Maßnahmen, wie z. B.
