Vorausgesetzt ist ein Hufbeschlag ohne Nagelung, bei welchem die Befestigung des Hufeisens am Huf durch eine an der Vorderseite des ersteren angebrachte Zunge in Verbindung mit einem Band erfolgt, das sich quer über den Huf erstreckt und mit dem oberen Ende der Zunge verbunden ist, Fig. 1. Zwei andere Warzen E, Fig. 3, werden nahe den Enden der Schenkel A des Hufeisens angebracht und so gestellt, dafs sie gegen die Vorderseite des Hufes convergiren.- Diese Stellung der Warzen hat den Vorzug, dafs sie eine für das Thier schmerzvolle Zusammenpressung der unteren Hufflä'che vermeidet. Trifft auf das Hufeisen ein Schlag,, der dasselbe nach rückwärts zu schieben sucht, so erzeugen die Warzen E in der zwischen ihnen liegenden Huffläche Zug- nicht Drückspannungen. Das Band besteht in seinen Haupttheilen aus zwei durch ein Gelenk g\, Fig. 4, mit einander verbundenen , nach der Huffläche gebogenen Flachstäben G. Der Anschlufs derselben an g wird hierbei durch Bügel oder Klammern g¹ vermittelt, welche durch die Aussparungen von g hindurchgesteckt und an den Stäben G durch Niete befestigt werden. An ihren anderen Enden sind die Stäbe unter Vermittelung von Klammern g" und von Drahtösen 0 in Dreieckform an Haken F, Fig. 1 und 3, angeschlossen, die an den Enden der Hufeisenschenkel angebracht sind und am zweckmäfsigsten aus dem vollen Eisen ausgestanzt werden. Patent claim:
