The elevator shaft cabling uses a hybrid ribbon cable (4) which incorporates at least one data line (8) and a door security circuit, at least one wire (11) of which is interrupted at each termination device (14) provided along the length of the hybrid ribbon cable, the termination device contacting both the data line and the door security circuit, e.g. together with a low voltage supply line (9). An independent claim for an elevator shaft cabling installation system is also included.
