Abstract

The combination lock's code number is set on the number-wheels (3) which have insertion-elements (11) on the number wheel side. Coupling discs (4) engage with the number-wheels by means of the insertion elements (15) on the coupling-disc side, and by means of the insertion elements on the number wheel side. A bolt is moved into its release position by setting the code on the combination lock. The number wheel and coupling disc engagement is canceled contrary to the pre-tension acting in the direction of this engagement, as long as a tangential force exceeding a pre-set limiting amount is exerted on the number wheel in its peripheral direction.
