Abstract

The backrest (10) has a shoulder area (12), a lordosis area (13) and a pelvic area (14), where the backrest is connected to a rigid backrest frame (30) at upper and lower connecting elements designed as a pivot bearing (20) and a slide bearing (25), respectively. The pivot bearing is fastened below the area (12), so that an upper part of the backrest is inclinable to the front or the rear with respect to the frame. The slide bearing is fastened to a rear side of the backrest and in the area (14), which is freely movable in a vertically upward or downward manner with respect to the frame.
