Abstract

The oil pan (1) has a base body (3) that encloses a volume for receiving oil. The oil pan has a recess (5) attached on one side of the base body, through which the volume of the oil pan that receives oil is increased. The base body and the recess are made of a polymer material. The oil pan is connected to a frame (9) by a metallic material.
