Abstract

The pharmaceutical security packaging has an oxygen content within the package at a level of one percent by volume, to reduce the level of oxidation of the contents. The oxygen content can be approximately half a percent by volume or as low as point one percent. The package contents can be at a pressure of fifty millibars and the package can contain argon, nitrogen or carbon dioxide. The container can include an oxygen level indicator.
