Abstract

The invention relates to devices for preparing a storage roll wound with a web of material for a flying roll change in a machine processing the web of material, comprising a cutting device that crosses the web of material for cutting said web of material and an adhesive tape dispensing device for placing adhesive tape along the edge of the web of material produced during cutting. The adhesive tape dispensing device has a web edge sensor for detecting the crossing of the lateral edge of the web of material through the adhesive tape dispensing device, wherein the adhesive tape dispensing device has a sensor for detecting the position of said adhesive tape dispensing device.
