Abstract

The blank producing process involves casting a cylindrical block (1c) and forging and piercing it while it is radially supported, leaving a bottom. It is then spread by a mandrel and finally deformed by a drawing die (11) and a mandrel (10), producing the hollow body (12). All deforming stages take place under heat. With the block spread out, a bond (14) can be created on the hollow body.
