Abstract

Intake system for an internal combustion engine in a motor vehicle comprises at least one intake opening (14) and an outlet (15) on the cylinder side for the combustion air. A junction (17) with an additional opening (18a-d) is attached to the intake system, which communicates with the combustion air. The additional opening is oriented so that on incorporation of the intake system into an engine space (10) of the motor vehicle the noise radiated from it primarily excites the passenger compartment (11). An Independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising an intake system built into the engine space. Preferred Features: The junction is fixed to the intake system using a socket connection.
